We have advanced parol (AP ) and we are planning to visit India. The Ticket agent say we need a transi visa.

When I talked to Germany Embessy which is Boston, they say we do not need a transit visa.

I am really confused and we already brought tickets, too.

I was in the same situation. Best answer to this problem is. Fly direct to india. i used Emirates Airline that flies 2 times everyday from JFK nonstop to dubai. So it does not stop anywhere in europe and from Dubai you have a ton of flights from Dubai to Mumbai,Chennai,Hyderabad, Delhi,Bangalore and such. So FLY Emirates and forget these transit visas.
And yes cancle your tickets you can get your money back if you cancle them well advance in time.

You can also try KLM/Northwest. No visa needed in Amsterdam.

London is worst. They wont even let you board plane for US without transit visa

Ghost_card and texancanadian,

I am planning to go by Air India direct flight from Newark to Bomboy via Paris. I do not get out of the plane. I am on AP and I would like to use AP when I return to US.

Do I still I need a transit Visa for Paris?, please help me.

I guess we need transit visa to travel via paris, if you donot have valid VISA stamped or Greencard

4- Frequently asked questions
Q : I am an Indian citizen. I will fly from Newark to Mumbay through Paris. I will stay within the airplane during the 2 hours stop. The US visa stamped in my passport is no more valid. I do not have a green card.

A : If you do not have a valid US visa stamped in your passport (look at the "expiration date") or a green card, you do need an airport transit visa even if you stay in the airplane.
