NEED help to clarify my situation

I may get interview in two months, I-485 has been filed in INS for two years, now, company is talking about laying off people recently, my question is if I got layoff before interview, how to handle this, should I postpone interview? my EAD card renew application is in INS too, and it will expire in two months also, if I got layoff, how could I get new EAD card. Please, gurus help me!!!, thanks

can\'t handle, you need a job. Unless your I-485 is approved without interview.
