Need Help Regarding Birth Certificate

Hey Guys,
I need some advise on Birth certificate..>
I hopefully would be applying form my 485 in a month or so...Since I am travelling to India I thought I would arrange for my Birth Certificate..At present I have just a written note from the church about my Birth date...Is that sufficent or should I get it from a magistrate in India...Please advise...

The BC should be from the local municipal office where your birth was registered; in case,

your birth was not registered, you need to obtain a \'Non-availability Certificate\' from the municpal office stating the same. In addition, you have to produce two affidavits from persons who knew of your birth (parents, uncles, aunts ...)
