Need Help - Police Clearance

We received an appointment for interview in SF for Nov 2.
My wife did 2 fingerprints and both did not go through for some reason so one of the document we need to bring to the interview is police clearance.
It said in there that she needs to bring police clearances from all the jurisdiction where applicant has resided in the US.
We live in the bay area right now and she resided in Cleveland and New Jersey before. My question is does anybody know where and how to get police clearances, specially for the out of state ones.

Thanks much...

I have no idea, however, I remember folks in the Naturalization forum discussing this. Try searching there.

Then I'd call the local police dept. (not the 911 ;) ) and ask them. I suppose the procedures are similar.

The best bet is to try City HALL, I am not sure, but, I had a friend in NJ who had done 5-7 years back. I think he asked at a local police station there or in Atlanta, we go to the city hall.
