I got my GC ON 5/2/2006.
My husband id going to change his job out of state in December.
I want to go with him and that means leaving my job. The GC comes from my job.In december it will be 7 months. Is it ok to leave the job or I need to wait more? What are the affects that will cause and when? Can they revoke my GC?

No Need to fear

The green card belong to you not the company.

If you need to quit, your GC is approved. How come they can revoke it?

Just explain your reasons in your resignation letter and have a copy signed by your manager or HR, to play safe.

PS. This is not a legal advice, consult your lawyer for more accurate information.

YOu can leave your company anytime after getting your GC. Your company cannot revoke your GC after it is approved. The only time a question is raised is when you apply for citizenship. If you leave your employer in less than 3 months, USCIS can deem it objectionable when you apply for citizenship. Since you are already past 7 months, you are fine.
