Need Help on I-485!!!!

Every body, please share your experience regarding the typical time to approve 485 at VSC. Mine was filed in Sept 04, 2000. My finger print has been done in the last week of Nov 2000. Does any body has any idea as to how many more months I have to wait to get it approved?

How fast the approval will occur depends on your country and category. If you are from either India or China then you still have a long way to go. Sept 99 cases are currently being processed.

Unfortunately, even for country "Other", you will have to wait for a little while because, officially, VSC is still processing Sept 1, 99 cases for i-485. This queue is not country based. It is the same for all. As a large number of cases were filed between 9/99 - 12/99, it will certainly take at least 4 - 6 months before your case is processed. But you will realize pretty soon (if not already) that just like the stock market, INS is very unpredictable. No logic applies here.
