Need help on filing I-130 - DIY

My husband (GC holder) is about to file I-130 for me. We are thinking to file this by ourselves without working with any lawyer. The form and documents needed seem to be straight forward. However, we would like to here any input, experiences, comments, and suggestions from anybody who has done this before without any help from lawyer. Is it doable without a lawyer?

Unless you have skeletons in your closet, you don't need a lawyer. Many people here file (not just 130, but also AoS papers) all the paperwork themselves without issues.

Make sure you read the form's instructions to the letter, and include any evidence that is indicated in the instructions, and you will be fine. (even if you miss something you'll get a request for evidence (RFE) letter).
