My cousin is graduating from his Graduate Program. My Uncle(cousin's father) and Grandmother are planning to come from India to attend the Convocation/Graduation ceremony/Commencement program. This will be their first trip to US. They are going to apply for the B1 visa to enter into the USA. I have identified the following possibility for applying the B1 visa. Which possibility would increase their chances of getting a B1 visa.
1. My Unlce sponsors for his trip
My uncle states that he is coming for his son's graduation ceremony. My uncle owns a business and his first son is still in India. He can prove the ties to his home country. How much funds does he need to show in the bank for a 4 month trip to US ?
2. I sponsor for their trip
I can send a I-134 document for sponsoring my uncle and my grandmother. I am planning to do in this way if my uncle does not have necessary funds.
3. My US-based Aunt sponsoring their trip.
One of my aunts has been living here for the last 25 years. She can sponsor their visa. The consulate may consider my grandmother to be a potential immigrant because her daughter is in the US.
I would be grateful to anyone who can let me know the pros and cons of the above possibilities. I am thinking #1 would be the best option.
