Need help on an item in packet 3

Hello:

I got my packet 3 last week. My wife's father's last (family) name is spelt differently in her passport and her birth certificate. In her passport it is Narasimhachari and in her birth affidavit it is Narasimhan. Is this ok ? Which one should I use in the packet 3 ?

I would suggest to go with whichever is correct. And then proceed accordingly to change the name in the other document. Because you can have the correction done in your passport and you can also produce a Affidavit as necessary.
