Need help on advance parole

Is that advance parole MUST be picked up by applicant in NY INS local office now? or it still can be picked up by either applicant or lawyer? Thanks

Hello there,

If you take care of this easy thing yourself it comes to you home address. If you asked Mr. Lawyer to do it - then he'd get it as you have signed a representation letter.
 
need clarify the policy

the situtation is:
my friend got his advance parole apporoved at NY local office, but his out of town now. his lawyer went to the office and could not pick the document for him. (the lawyer didn't know there is a new policy either!)
Does anybody know is there a new policy issued on this that lawyer no longer can pick up advance parole for applicant?
 
A side question on AP...

Anyone who's re-entered the US using AP please post your experience regarding check-in counter experiences in place of origin and transit.
I know that in India you should show valid visa to gain access past customs clearance and into the airplane. Simiarly, in Europe, they check your visa before you board the flight. Do these people know that AP is a perfectly valid travel document in lieu of an actual visa? Your feedback will be appreciated.
