Need advice... I was arrested for shoplifting in 2002 , the case was later dismissed. My lawyer said that I am not going to have any record.. I was on F-1 visa at that time and renew my visa several times stating on my application that I have never been arrested.. Got married in March 2005 and filed I- 485 and other documentation in April 2005. Got my EAD and Advanced parole in June 2005, traveled to my country on Advanced Parole and didn't have any problems. My problem is that I lied on I-485 and stated that I didn't have arrest before. Now I am afraid that my case will be denyed and want to change my I-485. Can I send a new I-485 to USCIS? Any help? Thanks!!!

I would say, you should take a new I485 with you during your interview and should tell the officer that you misunderstood the question. But will your lawyer go with you then?
