Need help...H-4 to F-1 change !!!

we are in the process of filing COS from H-4 to F-1 for my wife. I understand many discussions are going on here..and many people here received RFEs too. So would the experienced gurus help here...please..

i would like to know what to answer for questions re immigrant intent. My I-140 has been filed but not approved. So what should i answer, to - has any immigrant application ever been filed for you - YES or NO ?
anyone in the similar situation, please let me know.

You can say "no" to any immigrant application filed.. Technically, the I-140 application is a petition by your employer for you. Your wife has not yet been included in the process.

We had a similar situation and the case got approved recently. We had an RFE asking us to send the notarized Affidavit of Support (I-134) instead of just the bank statements for financial support. The case got approved in 10 days after we replied for the RFE.

Follow the advice of the Student Immigration office at the college. All the best!!

how did you frame the cover letter as to why do you want to change to F-1 visa ?

Sorry, I cant help you with that one ...since I applied thru the stu. immi. services of the school, the manager there took care of the cover letter... I just submitted the documents.

Do you have to stamp in passport for new F visa ?

Hi,

I have a question, How you will get visa stamp in passport reflecting your student status, through maxico ? I don't think St. Loius will stamp if your visa category change. Will it be problem if we will do when we visit india or there would be chance to decline ? Let me know your thoughts.
