I 'm about to file I-485 Concurrently in Vermont C S. I have few questions regarding them and response will be highly appreciated.

1.Medical : when to do it? My employeer says Medical is valid only for 1 yr and if processing takes more than 18 mths the officer will certainly ask for one more. Is it true? if so can i give my medicals after 6 mths of applying I-485?

2.Address in I-485 form : My employer is asking to put the company address in I-485 form , when i asked, he gave the below explanation :

In Form I-485

Part I

Type <company address> and not your address as this is an employer based
petition and we have to take care Request for Evidence from USCIS.


is this true?

3. How long does it take for the notification for Finger printing (FP) after we apply for I-140/I-485? I live in CA and just in case.

1. Medical is valid for 1 year. If you apply 140/485 in one year of getting your medical done - you will not have to undergo another one till 485 is adjudicated.

2. For 485 you should fill your address. Any RFE on 485 is to be responded by you(unless you fill G-28 authorizing attorney to do it.). Not filling you own address and someone else's address is prosecutable point.

3. No one knows.

1. I think when you apply for the 485 you have to supply the sealed medical report.

2. I think your Employer might be playing smart as I have given my home address and I think the a copy of the notices in the 485 are sent to applicants too. Even if you give your address the attorney will also get the notice for RFE etc.

3. it depends upon your luck.

Without medical result ... USCIS has rights to in-valid/deny your paper.. attorney murthy and some Gurus in this forum is not recomanding the without Medical - I485 this ... In my case.. my attorney told the same thing..
YEs medical results has only one year lifetime.. However there is 100% possibility that USCIS kept increasing the lifetime of the medical

This is not true at all.. I485 is your case/asset/application... you can put your address.

This is tricky question.. people in this forum waiting over one year without FP...

However wait until May 01-2004 and apply your case concurrently.. because there is some evidance that your case (both 140 and 485 ) will be considered as one .. and the case will be cleared very quickly...

And between the CSC pilot and the latest memo on concurrent filings I would wait until May 1st to file - just in case.

Without medical result ... USCIS has rights to in-valid/deny your paper.. attorney murthy and some Gurus in this forum is not recomanding the without Medical - I485 this ... In my case.. my attorney told the same thing..
