PLEASE HELP: is g-325a required when US citizen applies gc for parents?

I have heard 2 contradictory opinions on this, I am so desparately needing clarification, is g-325a required if I apply for GC for my parents?

I assume you are asking information regarding I-130.

G-325A has to be filled only if you are petitioning for your spouse. It is not needed if you are petitioning for parents. However you may have to submit your birth certificate with their names on it and also their marriage certificate establishing that your father was married to your mother before you were born
