Can any assist me in having clarify my query.
I am in US since Jan 2005 on L1B and Valid upto 11 Jan 2006.My L1 is with X company.
a) I want to switch my current company X and want to join Y company , who offered me and wants to apply for H1 for 2006 quota.(Fresh)
(i) Can the new company Y apply for my H1 for 2006.
(ii) I understand incase H1 is approved earliest date of start with Y is from Oct 1, 2005.
Dose it mean my last date would be 30sept with X(cuurent) company, or I have an option to move any other date from X to Y untill my I-94 is valid.
(iii)Is the mandatory to join New company only on 1 oct, 2005 or I have to choose another date like 1 dec 2005.Incase If i am joining 1 Dec 2005, Can i work with current company till 30th Nov 2005.
(iv)In case answer of 3 is yes, then what would be status of mine it would be L1 or H1.
(v)Where I should do the stamping?When back to country or remain here.
(vi) Is there any difference in Fresh H1 or Change of Status from L1 to H1?
(vii)Can I continued on L1 till 30 Nov 2005 and swtich to H1 on 1 Dec 2005. Or does H1 approval needs start date from 1 dec 2005.
