Need help finding answer to few questions

Hi,

I got my I140 approved and my I485 is pending for more tha 10 months.

My questions

1. If I laid off from my present job and don't have any new job offer from any other company at that time, Then what will be the effect on my green card process.

In above scenerios, what if my current employer revokes my I140, How much time I have here to find a new job and use the AC21 or are there any problems.

Because it is > 180 days since you applied 485, you are safe. Several things can happen.
According to AC21 law,
If your employer revoked your 140, then INS is supposed to send NOID. Then, by that time, you should find a Job. If you cannot find a Job by the time they send you NOID, then they will deny your 485 in 30 days.

Accoding to AC21 law, If your employer did not revoke 140, then INS does care about you not being out of job. But, you should be in a position to send them the EVL letter if they send an RFE asking for EVL. That is, at the time of RFE, you should have a Job. IF INS did not send RFE, then they might approve your case.
