Need help!!! company changed name and taxid

all, i need some help here. i am expecting packet 3 anyday now, my case
was created on 12/14/2001 and packet 3 is sent out on 01/29/2002. i had an appointment with my lawyer and she revealed that my company has not just changed the name but also tax-id, she is going ahead and filing for i140 ammendment. now should i wait till i get my ammended i140 or shall go ahead with the one i have. any help is greatly appreciated.

Take a letter from your company

Hi,

I think I-140 amendment is a must but you dont have to wait for it. Just take a letter from your company stating that the company has changed its name. Send your packet 3 along with the receipt copy of your I-140 amendment and the letter from your employer.
 
if it is chennai consulate..dont worry..proof of name change documents is the

only thing required and i provided the one give by my company.no problem at all.so dont worry about the name change or tax id etc.try to get proof like what ever ur attorny used to file amended140.good luck.
