Need help: Changing status

Hi Friends,

Here is a question.
If somebody enter into United States by using AP then that person will
automatically lose his H1- Status.

Will it be possible to go back to H1- Status after entering into United
status ( with the previous H1-b)?

How to apply AP and how long does it take in San Francisco ??

I am planning to apply for AP on my own. I already recieved my EAD. Which all documents do I need to apply for AP. Can I walk-in at any office near to San Francisco? And How long does this take to get AP?
Please let me know? Thanks for you input and help.

This is INS policy that AP voids H1-b. You can reapply H-1b again.
