Hi experts,
I am worried with with 2 I-485's pending in TSC.
Badly need your advice. During April 2003, I filed I-140, 485 with a company-1 in Nebraska Service Center(labor Subs, PD-2001). In April 2004, My I-140 got denied so I-485 got denied for me and wife. Lawyer filed for motion to reopen and EOIR29 is under pending. I forgot and lost hopes on that.
So joined another company-2 in November 2004, used labor subs (PD 2004) and filed for I-140, 485 with Texas Service Center and I gave my change of address to Dallas TX. I-140 got approved with this company and got 2nd EAD recently.
Suddenly I got an email for my wife's old I-485 (company-1) saying that her case got transferd to Texas. No action on my old I-485
"Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status
Current Status:
On October 28, 2005, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in TEXAS SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 to receive information about local office processing times"
I don't work for company-1 any more and work for company-2. Should I call my old lawyer and ask him to withdraw old appeal and I-485? Is there a way I could capture old Priority date?
I want to talk to lawyer. but I have been following the forums and felt these forums gives me better answers.
Is my old 485 case been reopened or because of address change it is moved?
