Need Experts Advice before Processing My Re-entry Permit

Egypt2011

Hi ,

I got GC with my wife and baby in July 2012, I visited US once for few days only and left back to Egypt due to lack of money to support the move to US, But While in Egypt I got a Job offer to work in Dubai and due to my urgent need for money to start a new life in US I am thinking how to accept the offer for somewhile without losing GC.

I Heard two opinions , one to go and return before 1 year and the other is to apply for Re-entry

1-If i went and returned to US several times before passing one year , will that be risky ?? specially i will have a Dubai resident visa stamped in my passport

2-If i decided toapply for re-enty , What would be considered a logical reason for my request instead of sttating that it is for job offer in Qatar , some people told me to say just taking care of my parents who are just in 58 years old , would that work?

3- If i departured US before the decision and then my application get rejected for any reason , would I be able to return US again before 1 year of my last departure?? or will the rejection prevent me from entering US ??

Thanks

Hany

Generally they are lenient towards new green card holders in the first year or so, as they understand that it's often necessary to spend several months outside the US to finish up everything and get ready to move to the US. On your next entry if they ask you about Dubai, just say you had a project that you needed to finish up in Dubai.

But if you plan to keep working in Dubai for another year or two, that is a high risk strategy even with a reentry permit. Working abroad is a negative factor when it comes to keeping your green card, and by working for that long you're inviting big problems.

You should be spending your time looking for jobs in the US, so you can more easily leave the job in Dubai once you have a US job offer in your hand. Focus on the multinationals who have a presence in Dubai and/or your country of citizenship (Qatar?); some of them would be happy to have somebody available to send to the US who doesn't need any visa processing, and might be willing to interview you for the US job at one of their offices in Dubai.

Where are your wife and child now? If they're in the US while you're abroad, that makes defending your green card a lot easier.
specially i will have a Dubai resident visa stamped in my passport
It's not a permanent resident visa, is it?
