Hello all.,

My Friend who had an contacrt for 18 months with his Employer and he left that company within 12 months. Now the employer is trying to sue my friend almost after 1 year.

Can you please someone help me understand ...whether it is legal in this country to bound an employee.
 
Generally, people in this country are able to draft agreements as they see fit as long as there is not a legal reason why it should not be permitted. The answer is very fact dependant and there are certainly arguments in both your friend and the company's favor. The answer will also depend on state law.
