What is the role of AILA?

Why are they concerned so much about American Economy.....trying increase the quotas...etc.
Are they really concerned? to help us....or they want more money to increase their revenues?

Why are the lawyers in all the boards....say that Congress should immediately wake......and blah...blah......
Do they know...if American Economy crashes...the nonimmigrants are the only ones who will lose their job first....and be on the roads?

Why do they want more people inside US.....and why are they not suppoting Outsourcing?

Why are they not fighting to streamline the process......for example what is the I140 step....just for the lawyers and INS to make buck or what....why is AILA not fighting to remove this extra step in the process?

Got more questions...but no answers

Simple - follow the money. It's all about interests. AILA members thrive on immigration. They mostly work for corporations, not individuals like you and me. The corporations want the process to be long and complex, so that workers keep working, hoping for the dangling carrot that they'll never get.

So...the bottom line is money period.

That is what I was wondering......I am sure now AILA will not let us get GCs soon...but put us in a loop

They have to help the government....generate revenues......AP,EAD etc.....

OH...OH....now I understand.....

I think they will make all PDs currents....and we all will be stuck in 485 forever....which also makes sense....and this will cool down most of us...

Well, for the corporations, the H-1B worker is the perfect worker. He or she already comes highly educated, is hardworking, does not complain, and is in absolutely no position to bargain (or threaten to quit or go on strike or do any of those things that make life difficult for employers). All bcos he owes his very presence in the country to the employer.
Wouldn't it be nice if all workers were H-1B workers?

You are right....

What a Pity? Man...this is a big game.
No wonder most of the hightly educated people return to India....and start their own company....this country is not for everybody......

Now I am thinking....Is this all worth it? If so....for what?

Compared to this mental stress....physical stress back home is better...

Well.....I am learning my lessons....
