Need Advise on 8th yrs H1B extension due consular processing

Hi,

I have my I140 approved on May 2, 2007. My H1 expires in Sep 30, 07.

Will I still be eligible to get H1 extension since extension is only available if PD is not current?

if not what are my options to keep working?
