Hi
I recently got my(and spouse) passport stamped w/canadian Immigration visa and papers. They gave me six months to enter Canada. My US process is still going on and I work on US EAD. I don't have a valid I-94 to travel. I am simply waiting for the I-485 to get approved so I can start to travel again. ( I am not eligible for AP !!)

Since I have ony six monts to enter canada and it will be longer for the US GC to process , what options do I have to maintain both my status.?

In case If I have to give up one of them, which one it would be if you were me? It hurts to know that I have to let go something I really worked for.

When Some of you enter canada what formalities happens at the US border and what happens at Canadian border and do they exchange information.??

Give me some option please, Anything is welcome

Thank You

you can stay outside Can for 3 outta 5 years, do your research.

He has to land first to take advantage of the above law. He is working on EAD. If he travels to Canada (to land), he will be stuck. Since he is saying that he is not eligible for AP, its a difficult situation he's in.

I am not sure under what which category he has filed to Audjust his status. There must be a way that he should be eligible for Advance Parole/Travel Document.

Hi

Vault, is right. I need to land first to stay out of canada. But then I won't be eligible for the GC anymore. I cannot file for AP cause I had a bried period of overstay here. So I fell into the category of 245I. Now I don't undertstand what to do. Is there any way I can keep my papers to Canada.??

Thanks

Hey Ray S.

Hi

Let's say for argument sake If drop my canadian papers and stick to the US, what are my chances to re-apply in the future for canadian and do I have to go through all that I been through to get these or do I get a little heads up cause I made it the first time.

Thanks for the insight.

If you don;t plan to land not, I thnik you can return your landing papers and get your Landing fees back. Also you will have to go thru the same process you went thru to reapply, and have sufficient points to qualify. Also you should be in legal status in the US to reapply from the US.
