need advice

Hello guys,
I need some advice to my problem and how does it impact my GC.
Couple of years back thru my present company(also my GC sponsor) i was working at client side. Now the client was not paying regularly to my company even though i was getting paid regularly , my compnay pulled me out after some time, the dues outstanding to my company were around $25k and now my company has filed a case against the client for that amount and they want me to represent them as witness. I was wondering how will all this impact my Green Card process(already in I-485 stage).
Any advice would be helpful as i have to go there on wednesday.

It's not going to affect your GC in any way because:

1. As far as I understand, this is a civil matter, not a criminal one.
2. A lawsuit filed not against you, you are just a witness. In the court, do not lie under the oath UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES since that may trigger a criminal case against you, and you are gonna be fine.
