i'm a new member in this website can anyone help me about my problem? i got my greencard thru marriage last year and it will be expired after 10yrs.my lawyer told me that it's up to me if i wanna be a usc,if not i will just renew it after the expiration date..my question is me and my wife are planning to have a divorce..we always fight and i know it's normal to every married couples.. she 's having an affair to other man and i could not take it anymore,we are married for about 3yrs now..i work hard and i try to be a good husband to her but she cheated me..i still love her despite of that but she really want to divorce me..do you think if we filed for divorce does it going to affect my status here? or can i still be a usc if she divorce me? pls give me an advice and i will appreciate it..thank you..

As you said you have GC for 10 years that means you received permanent GC (and not the conditional one).

Regarding immigration, you should be fine even if you have to go through divorce.

Just to clarify that the card's validity is 10 years.

The status (unless violated) is not affected after the expiry of the card.
