Hi Fellowapplicants,
I am a dependant on my spouse's application. Both of our applications were filed WAC03007 - Oct 1st week 2002. - Not Concurrent application.

Both of us completed our FP Nov 2nd week or so of 2002.

Recently my spouse's application online status changed to ....
On Nov 15,2002 we received your FP and processing resumed. ( 1 st FP)

However, my status is " On Oct 31, 2002 we sent you a notice for FP " -- This was our 1 st FP.
It has never been updated since then.

Can I call/ Fax to inquire about this ? or would it not be considered as my case is not with 30 days or JIT ?

Please suggest your opinions.

Best Regards,
Pinnacle_Man

Online status is not correct most of the time - as reported in various threads on the portal. You may still try to make calls but I doubt if it will help.

Thank You

Do you think, it is valid for me request an update of the case status or will they accept only if our lawyer calls. I mean to request them to update the latest status (online)

Wouldn't hurt to enquire. Our family case is similar to yours. I am the primary applicant and my wife's status is incorrect. We have not enquired though. As we have the Fingerprint receipts (or whatever they are called) from the Application Service Center, we are comfortable with the current status. In any case, our finger print results are expired too and we need to give new ones (none scheduled by USCIS yet). If it turns our that USCIS does not have them and says that case is considered abandoned (since the status indicates that my wife had not provided the fingerprints) we can use the receipts to prove otherwise and request a schedule for new one.
I have also provided our receipts to the law firm handling our cases (on thier request)
