Need advice regarding re-entering without a AP

hi,

Thanks in advance for sending response with your great advice.
I am on h1b visa and my spouse has AP. My EAD and AP are not filed as I have a valid h1 for another 2 yrs.

The questions are :
1. Can I go to India without AP and EAD ?

2. Is it mandatory to carry AP and EAD to re-enter USA?

3. What are the documents I am supposed to carry to leave and re-enteer USA on H1B visa ?

4. Did anyone have this kind of experience?

5. If yes, then do I need to undergo any question-answer session with immigration at airport?

6. If yes, then May I know what sort questions are normally asked?

If you have valid H-1 visa stamp, you are ok.


2. Is it mandatory to carry AP and EAD to re-enter USA?

H-1 Visa stamp, H-1 approval notice, passport and employer's letter, latest paystubs, some address verfication stuff (optional)

Hi

I am on H1B and husband on H4. Apllied for I-140 and I-485 in JUly along with EAD. Did not apply for AP.

Can my huband and I both travel To India on our H1 and H4. Hope we do not need AP.

Please respond as travellign on Friday.

Per my knowledge, you will be fine without AP since your husband and you have valid H visas.
