my visa inteview was on monday 30th of August.
Me and my husband went to the interview though my results were not ready coz am HIV positive and the doctor said I had to go Tb screen test which takes 8 weeks. So when we went to interview on monday the officer who took our certifcates asked as where my meds are and then we explained to her and they had already received the information of the same from the doctor of IOM.
So she wrote us a receipt of paying 819 x2 so that we proceed.
Later He called my husband and told him that they can't wait for my meds up to 8 weeks so they told him to pay only his interview fee.We paid interview fee for him and he was interviewed given areceipt and was written that he goes back on 2nd september. The consular officer told him if I get my meds before 30september I can walk in and also get my visa.
The next day morning 31st of August they again called my husband saying that they want us back for interview as a couple. With me I had already left Nairobi coz we stay in Kisumu. So I told my husband there to get more expalnations. When he reached at the embassy the consular officer said she can't speak to him without me.So my husband requested for another date since I was already out of Nairobi. Now what am worried..is that are these people going to cancel the process of my husband visa of which they had already acknolewdged or what? And are they going to process my visa since my medicals are not ready..and will be ready the second week of october and by then the issuing of dv200 visa will be closed by then. What are the chances of us being given visas according to that. Please advice accordingly if you have any idea.Am going to embassy next on 8th septmber just next week.

Dear Ninche, I have a few questions: 1) Who is the primary applicant? you or your husband? If your husband is the primary applicant, he may be allowed to get a visa even if your case gets delayed. However, if you are the primary applicant and the processing of your case gets delayed, you and your husband may not be granted the visas. 2) What kind of TB test did the doctor order? If your chest x ray is normal and you are not symptomatic, then there was no need to order another test. The only test I know regarding TB that takes 8 weeks to process is culture of the sputum which is done if you are coughing and producing sputum. They might need to be sure that you really don't have TB as HIV and TB coexist in about 50% of the people. I hope it will go smoothly for you and wish you all the best.

Labora2,
Thanks,
My husband is the primary applicant.Myself am the benefeciary. At the IOM we were told that those people who are HIV positive have to go TB test and it hast to be 8 weeks coz they are doing culture.Infact to myside my xray was good even the doctor said so but they insisted that its there rule for people who are HIV to undergo that test which takes 8 weeks.Since I was positive in the yr 2005..I have never been attache by Tb or have any Tb symptoms I even gave them my medical report but they insisted.I guess its away they are doing business coz the test its self they charge very expensive. Now they have made my report to delay so am worried if I may ever succeed.Hope you got me that in the first place when we went for interview they said they are mot interviewing me since my medicals were not ready. And they did the interview to my hubb alone and he was to collect his visa 2nd of september bt they again changed later and called us again for fresh interview of which we are supposed to go on 8th.So am worried if we are going to pay fee interview again or how is it going to happen. Will they give us visa or deny both of us.Please advice what we should do.i really feel am messed up this the second round am trying green card.Last time the medical also delayed and the HIV ban was not lifted by then na they denied me and my husband a visa that we married for the purpose of immigration. Now again we have applied we have won and here is the mess of medicals again. Please advice.

Ninche.
I don't Understand you guys, you had a year in advance to do those medicalls and you waited till the last month to do it? Especially when you guys know you had the same problem last time. Medicals for immigration purposes are good up to one year, so you could have them done before. I don't know what else to say , but in this case you need to think 10 steps ahead, not only one, such a chance...

thanks for your reply bt it depends which country ur rm for the medicals to be for 1 yrs.bt thanks.

first of all sorry to hear that your medicals delayed. I think both of you should just go back to the interview as requested by the consular officer. You never know what God might do. God might have talked to them to issue the visa. You never know probably your medical report has already been sent to the embassy. So please do as requested by the consular officer. Just go back so that both of you may be interviewed.
All thind work good for them that believe.
By the way I also come from Kisumu.
