Need advice please help::

hi everybody,
Recently filed for 485 and got all receipts.(I-485, EAD & AP)
EAD approved also.

I am having a valid h1-b but visa stamp expired. I applied for AP but now a days it is taking long time and need to travel to India in Dec\'2001.

1 I will be in India for just 7 days, is it possible to go to Chennai consulate and get it stamped in a day ( trying to avoid courier service b\'use of less time)?

2. how about considering stamping in Mexico.

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Highly doubtful to stamp in 7 days.

As I know, the rules in Chennai has changed. You cannot go to the consulate. You have to send it by TTK Services and they will stamp and send it back. Mine took 10 days. I think 7 days is too short. In some INS offices they give AP on the same day, like Boston INS. May be that is another option. I am not sure about Mexico stamping. Good luck.
