Need advice on letter to senator

Hello there,

I have heard that many people have pretty good luck after writing to senators. So I think I should give it a try as well. My RD is Oct 26, 2001 and have had finger print done twice. The RFE has been submitted in March, but I am still waiting.

Could someone please give some suggestions on which senator I should write to? It will be great if someone can post a sample letter as well. My case is in Nebraska center and I reside in Illinois.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have heard many people have pretty good luck after buying a lottery ticket. Maybe I should buy one as well. :D Come on, man.

When you write to a senator, it is because you feel the circumstances of your situation merit special consideration. If you can't think of any, then someone else's situation isn't going to do you any good even if you change the story around a bit. :(

As for which senator to write to, ask yourself who would most likely help. Writing to the good senator from Hawaii probably isn't going to get you the time of day since you are living in Illinois.

Yes, the I485 seems to be turning into a "lottery " of some sort. i think numerologists/astrologists probably have a better chance of predicting approvals than senators/congmen. To answer the original question, members of congress can only communicate on your behalf, unless circumstances are very dire (I'm not sure what they need to be) I've tried to inquire about my case which has been in Chicago for the last 15 mos (after 12 mos in Neb)without any luck. I jumped up and down and now have resigned myself to sitting back and "enjoying" the ride. Bottomline, sit tight and wait. Sign the I485 petition. more chances that you will be heard through that channel.

Since the office processing date at NSC for 485 is 8/11/2001 I doubt you have a legit reason approach senator. It is true that
many nov/dec/jan cases have been approved, but BCIS has kept the official date in August becuase they don't want to be bothered with too many calls.
