I had opted for consular processing 2 years ago when the priority date was current and there was a concurrent filing avalilable. I thought at that time that consular processing is a fast route to get a GC but as soon as my CP was filed the proirity date retrogressed back to 2001. My priorty date is Oct 2003 which is not current as of today? Can I convert my CP filing to I485 without waiting for proirity dates? Do I have to wait till my prority date becomes current to file I-485.
