Based on LC, one year extension is possible.gc4vijay said:Does any body know, if a person needs a 140 receipt to apply for 7th year extension on pre-approved labor. Is it enough to attach the pre-approved LC? Or should I wait for 140 receipt number?

Its been a little more than 365 days since the company applied for that labor and it is approved before 365 days. The lawyer says that we have to apply for 140 and wait for a week to get the receipt number and then file h-1 even if we din't get the receipt number by that time. He says that we can submit the receipt if we get an RFE in future. Does it make sense to you?
