Nebraska Service Center processing date goes backward?

I just check the USCIS, it showed the processing case with receipt notices date of I-485 ( employement base adjustment ) is april, 2004. I remember it showed May, 2005 last month.

What has happened? Does I mean I have to wait much longer. My receipt notices was June, 2005.

This is not knew from NSC. Dates were moved backwards because too many people bothered them by calling them asking for status (I guess these calls became a pain in the arse for them).
Inspite of people knowing nothing is going to happen due of retrogression, people keep calling them as soon as dates moved forward from their respective RD's.
This happened before also when NSC deliberately kept 140 dates at Sept2003 for long time to avoid such calls.

Sometimes our own eagerness and anxiousness will cause such drastic measures to be taken by NSC.
Anyway who cares about Dates unless you are from a non-retrogressed country.
Enjoy the holidays everybody.

So does it mean that the NSC is processing 485 from may/june 2005, but to keep the calls/enquiries low, they are showing the processing dates to be april 2004.
Is this assumption/analysis correct??

Over time I've realized that there is only one way to look at all this processing date/PD madness ....

Don't over-analyze and form an assumption that makes you feel warm and fuzzy. It would usually be incorrect and/or irrelevant.

It is what it is ... so just go by what you can see - not what you can infer -- so NSC is processing Apr 04 cases now - period.

Take a break and enjoy the season.

Yes. Rightly said. They do not want to get calls from customers, though they knew their cases cannot be approved. I hope NSC may be processing June-July 2005 cases. My 485 RD is in that range. My doubt is, Have they already reviewed my case and all my 485-supporting documents? Can I expect the automatic approval once my PD becomes current (assuming FP and name check cleared)?

Has anyone seen any retrogressed 485 guys geting any RFE?
