Nebraska processing times Jan 2002?

I was at the detroit INS getting my passport stamped and while i was waiting, I found out that the detroit branch is processing I-485s for the month of Jan, 2002. If these case have been transfered from the regional service center which is the norm in most local office transfer cases, is it safe to assume that Nebraska is also processing Jan 2002?

Although the official nebraska date says Aug 2001 at least since october, I think judging by the Detroit cases, can we assume that Nebraska is almost done with cases prior to Jan 2002? If that's the situation, then all those who are waiting should give a sigh of relief because Nebraska doesn't seem so slow after all.
 
Typically local office processing times are for family-based and not employment-based 485 applications.

well, that's kinda depressing if it's quicker to get a green card through marriage or family ties than it is through one's own merit. :<

I guess you're right because I was indeed surprised by the detroit dates whereas from this forum, I know there are people waiting from sept - dec 01.
