Nebraska EB1-485

Dear All,
My I 140 just got approved at Nebraska, my 485 was filed last year Sept 2006 RD and ND was October under EB1 category. Now I dont know what the next step will be, what would be the time frame for 485 approval.
I am new to the 485 forum as had invested my time on I140 and the RFE. Could anybody please let me know. What to expect or hope

Also I have to travel can I do it on AP.

You should get your approval in october itself when visa no. become available again and if everything goes well lke NC which I think will.

Yes you can travel on AP

I have further questions
My 485 was filed last year 2006 I have the receipt and AP. I havent been to home country in 6 years with many visa changes from J1. Now my H1B is Expiring Aug end as my funding ends. I have approved I 140 But since it was EB1 no employer sponsoship I dont want to go arond looking for short term projects but visit home country in peace.

My question is can I travel on AP now, with filed I 485. My passport has no visa stampings except original J1
