Hi gurus

Please help me. For years after I got GC I am still in deep worry and depression. The reason is, the long and scaring process and other reasons. Here is summary of my story.

I filed 140 in sep 2001 using my own LC through company A. I got my 140 approved in march 2002, filed 485 immediately. So far so good. Thing were simple and straitforward.

in 12/2002, i changed job to company B but did not sent AC21.

After long wait, in june 2004, my lawyer and employer A got a letter regarding to my 140 saying it was revoked. no reason given, just saying "it comes to our attention that you wish to withdraw the 140 ...". the 485 got a NOID.

My lawyer sent the following documents ASAP:
1. a letter from employer A which said "we never asked to withdraw or revoke the 140. XXX had been working for us and the opening is still available if she wants"
2. a letter from me and lawyer asking to apply for AC21
3. EVL letter from company B
4. cover letter from lawyer saying "A did not revoke the 140, the open is still available, but XXX would like to choose B and apply for AC21", etc


In July 2004, I got 485 approved. But in the mean time, my 140 status changed into "this case is reopened on BCIS motion".

Until now, the 140 is still showing the message as "this case is reopened on BCIS motion".

I should be happy and relieved when my 485 was approved in 07/2004, but I could not. I still feel confused and worried about the "reopened" 140.

Gurus, please help me - am I fine? DO I need to worry? Why is the 140 still reopen? will there be any decision made for the 140 and what will be the impact? Can I live peacefully no matter what's going on?

My story above is a just summary. But only me knows how much I suffered until now. Please forgive me if i look like a psyco.

Just go to sleep. There is nothing to worry. There may be thousands of such cases in this type of status. The BCIS will simply abandon them, they might have already abandoned them and so the status didn't change to anything else. They must not be bothered about such cases, they don't have enough resouces or will to take care of pending cases, they are not going to be bothered about such dysfuntional I-140s. Anyway whatever you have done is done legally and that is why you have got the green-card.

And if you are really prone to worry, then worry why our cases have still not come out of Name-cheek hell.

I heard that there is some kind of process through which you can speed up your name check. I read it in some newspaper recently. Please talk to your lawyer about this.
