Hopefully one of these days I will be getting FP notice.... again..hopefully....
So my question is : Will I get an e-mail advising on the FP or not?

I believe if they issue/send any notice(whatever) system automatacally sends email. if you are expecting FP notice email should be sent but in few cases no changes were done online status and they either got FP/RFE and even approvals while online status showing it would take 900- blah blah days....

so don't expect a lot from their system just be alert, and keep in tough with ur attorney, if u have changed ur address... make sure it is updated. or ur attorney has been changed address too then ask him to send inquery every month regulary..... if possible to get help from ur local congressmen or senators don't hesitate........ don't just don't hope for miricales move ur "IF & B.... " too

smile :D

Good Luck to you

I have never heard any attorney who charge for reply to their client for inquery you can email to attorney or fax to attorney to ask about case, just don't bother a lot to him, I believe he shouldn't charge you unless any chargeable service is rendered upon ur request. if ur attorney doesn't response or charge on your PHone call inquery regarding ur case, you might have option to send complain to American Laywer Assoc. Read the signed agreement between you and ur attorney.

Try not to mess-up relations with attorney. if few $$ can buy ur satisfication then feed their greed, its up to you. anyway To avoid service charges, Try to keep in touch and in contact lower staff like secretary, give her some nice gift talk super-nice and smile :D and be polite. this technique worked for many smart ppl , try urself

Good Luck

thats odd, most attorneys are fixed price, and they charge per service rendered....GC as a package, and then extra for each EAD and AP......

There are some attorneys who will even charge you per e-mail.
POJ, harveydonald, there was 1 guy who had posted a message here that he
had contacted a attorney to check with him if they would file his 485.
he went back & forth few e-mails and decided to hire another attorney and this 1st attorney sent him a hefty bill.
you could do a search on the word ' m a t h u r' if you were interested in the trial of messages. maybe you will find those messages.

hoping4, there are few people who have sent a fax , have you tried that?
what abt calling the 800 number ?
have you already tried that on your own without involving the attorney?

I can very well understand if you have trouble speaking with your attorney directly or if he is charging you for a phonecall/e-mail.

I guess I got lucky with my attorney then, he (or his partner) will talk to me anytime I want. His secretery is rude though....

The 1st tier 800 number people will tell you exactly what you see on the website. If the web site is not updated (even if you received the documents) they won't be able to tell you....

I und 'goastors' some attorney may be very greedy. that case u mention look like very weird. look like reaction of attorney becz of changing attorney by client. most ppl did find some delay issue with attorney response, not sure how ppl deal I already shared in many threads.

I believe few $$ workds fine... in most cases.. whenever u calculate ur fees they ask always add few $$ form ur side........ for total real expense.

You don't know the grape is sour untilll u taste.

I already shared in my previous thread that one of my friend has issue with non-coperative attorney adn staff....... he followed what I told him "feed the greed" and he shared how much he is welcomed by staff and attorney. once he had to wait hours or hours even having appointment...... nowdays his smile shows there is no issue anymore he visit even without appointment there. :D now he says this is the country everthing is for sell .... what would u like to buy?

:D :D

Good Luck to you all
