Also my wife's status is also 'RFE issued.....'
Does the dependent status also change when the primary has been issued an RFE?

Please let me know...

No, these are two separate cases - so two separate RFEs to respond. Most likely they would want an EVL from you for both of you.

Thanks for your response...How much time do you get to send a reply to RFE?
RFE was issued on 28th june for both me and my wife. Unfortunately my wife is in india for vacation and is coming back on 10th august. Can we wait till then? I am yet to receive the RFE letter.

Please let me know..

I think it is 12 weeks (corrected) from the RFE issuance date.

I assume that you are the primary beneficiary, and your wife is a dependent.

If the RFE is for employment verification, her presence is unnecessary to complete the RFE response, because it's your company that's confirming your employment for both your and your wife's RFEs. On the other hand, if she is to provide i.e. some missing medical information then you may want to wait until she comes back. August is well within 12 weeks (corrected) from June :)

Correction - I goofed up. It's not 120 days. It's 12 WEEKS - that's what is stated on my RFE notice - so it is 84 days. Still - you should be fine by Aug 10.

Sorry about the mix-up.
