With great pleasure, I want to let you know that my I-485 has been approved. I heard it via AVM today. This is my first message. Here are my details:

PD: Dec 31,1999
I-140 AD: Dec 12,2000
I-485 RD: Jan 2, 2001
I-485 ND: Jan 9, 2001
No RFE
Used EAD.
Applied for Renewal of EAD on Jan 8, 2002. Didn\'t receive receipts yet and checks not yet encashed.
I-485 AD: Jan 16,2002

I-140 approved for CP, sent to chennai consulate. Documents returned by Chennai consulate to VSC on Dec 5, 2001 per INS request. I didn\'t initiate any action to bring back the documents from the consulate. Also called NVC and came to know that NVC returned my documents to INS on oct 25, 2001.

And last but not the least, I thank all the fellow netizens and special thanks to Rajiv Khanna for setting up such a wonderful site. It has helped me tremendously during this painful wait.

You said your I-140 was sent to Chenni. What NVC has to return to INS after that ?
