Hi magu gagan,
please post your details PD, EB category etc. I am quite sure you\'re not the only one in this boat. I personally know two of my friends are waiting for approvals (ND 09/99) and also I got approved last week with the same ND.
Don\'t lose hope and try talking to an IIO and also get your attorney to fax an official inquiry.

Good luck and hang in there.

No you are not the only one. I am also in the same boat. PD Jul\'97 RD Aug\'99 FP Sep\'00 ND Sep\'99. I called INS a \'N\' number of times and every time they give me a different answer. Yesterday I called them after a week and she again said she is going to print my I485 application and send it to her Supervisor as she feel the case should have been processes by now. To my surprise no officer has been assigned to my case. On this website I am seeing al lot of people with dates much much later than mine getting approved. Good for them and I feel happy for them but... leaves lots of questions in mind

thanks Sribhami and Serenity I know its frustrating about 20 people applied in DEC 99, JAN, FEB 2000 etc. got approval in my company. In My company only me left without approval, all other got there app even with same ND/RD same cat EB3, same and later PD. My lawyer told me wait 4 more month, then he will place inquiry.

Wait for 4 months?? Don\'t listen to your lawyer and force them to send an inquiry immediately. I listened to my lawyer when she told me the same thing last year after my first FP - I could have gotten an approval if we acted on it then.
Anyways, this time after my 2nd FP I got on my lawyer\'s case and had her fax an inquiry and got an approval within a week. I am not saying that you will have the exact same experience but it will definitely get you started in the right direction. Faxing an inquiry has some sort of a legal binding on the INS to look at your case and come back with some sort of a reply(usually an approval or a reason why they can\'t process your application).

Also, after your lawyer sends 3 fax requests without any positive response they can call and talk to the Center Director\'s office or get the Lawyer\'s Liasion on their case.

Good luck,

I was in the same position. I am in Ciba list with ND in Aug

I had to call few times just get hold of a nice II who was willing to listen to my case. Whenever I get rude II I used just listen to them and then say thanks and hung-up the phone. I had to call for FL and then to see whether my case got assigned to an officer or not.

If you get hold of a good II try to explain to them that you have been waiting for so long and haven\'t heard anything and IT report shows that they are processing cases with later date than your. If they say that they are going to take "PRINT OUT" that means they are going to forward to an officer. Whenever an officer told me that they are going to take a "PRINT OUT" that means it is going to the next step. It happened twice for me for FL notice and also for an actual I-485 approval.

You just have to keep on trying and it will work.
