After 18 months of waiting, my cas was transfered to Philadelphia. Anybody knows how long I should wait for the interview? What I can do to speedup the process? Thanks.

Philadelphia: 12 months processing time

Today I just called NCSC. I asked for Vermont updated processing time for I-485. But the representative insisted asking my zip code. After 1 minute she told me it takes 12 months to process in Philadelphia local office. Then I told her I asked for Vermont. She said 20 months.

In one way, Vermont touched your case before 20 months. They did not touch mine. On the other, there may be another one year waiting.

Good luck and keep us posted when you receive the transfer notice and interview date.

When did your I-140 get approved? Which Category?

There seems to be a thread running for cases transferred to Philly, and according to discussions there, it is taking minimum a year or long to get an interview at Philadelphia.

did you change jobs

or is it just one of the so called "random" NIW transfer case. My lawyer has got direct approval in many NIW cases. I am trying to figure out the reasons for transfers seen on this forum.
I hate to say this but NIW/EB1-EA cases are getting the lowest priority (antithesis  ) because one has to wait for 18 + months for file to be looked at and then transfer and then further wait for 6 months to year

I never changed my job. It's just a simple and straight case. I believe the only reason that it's transferred is that it's NIW.

In Phil it is going to take 12 months. One of my friend transfered there last Feb or March. Still waiting for interview.

I can understand if NIW (National Interest Waiver) cases get transferred these days.
They want to make sure that your skills/experience/credentials are really beneficial for the US.
On a more positive note - they may just want to meet you face to face ;)

Thanks guys!

manumahi, are you sure that ur friend transfered *last* year?

gcmani, NIW stands for Natioinal Interest Waiver, which doesn't need labor certificate. But now I need the interview as a penalty.
