Called IIO early in Jan. (wish never did) to find out an intent-to-deny (dated 1/17) is being sent in three weeks (lack of staff). Lawyer rec\'d on 1/19 (no records of entry and maintenance of status prior 2nd H-1B, What? How could they approve my 2nd H-1B if I was out of status?). RFE sent on 1/29 along with an employment letter). Case approved on 2/12/01. Courtesy copy rec\'d on 2/17. Passport stamped on 2/20/01 in Boston.
