Talked to an IIO this morning. The case is still pending, not assigned to the officer yet. Could see the finger printing is done. Wait for another 30-60 days. Should have asked how often they assign cases (weekly, biweekly?) but did not. Just sharing the information.

when did they receive your fingerprint?

My ND=10/10/2000 and I was fingerprinted in 12/16/2000 and IIO told me yesterday(Oct-06) that
my fingerprint was received by INS in July 10th.

I am EB3, Country Other and IIO said I should wait 2 more months.

you never know ...

Yesterday when I called INS, IIO said they got my fingerprint July 10th ... I was surprised because I
was fingerprinted in Dec 16,2000 and early this year FBI confirmed that they had sent the
material to INS ...
Also, IIO said that she suspect that my case would take 2 months based on fingerprint receipt date and
other things.

I was upset this morning

to learnt that my case had not even been assigned to an office when someone with exactly the same RD and ND was approved last week. Of course, I was reminded that different cases take different time to be approved.

By the way, my case number starts with 51 after 01-017 while the approved guy had 52 after 01-017. I had 52 on my I-131 receipt number.
Not that it should matter..

which country are you from?

I am also other country ... sometimes I am suspictious about that ... I don\'t know if it has anything to do with
the delay ... My EAC# starts with 01-006

Wow - silmat-- does it really take them half a year to receive FP? I guess they are sending them with a courier on foot... but that might explain the delay with my case (EB1, ND: 03/07/00, FP: 10/2000, no RFE, assigned to an officer for 3 months and counting)... good luck!
