My I-485 application has early Jan 2006 ND, but I have already received two separate requests for submitting medical exams (due by April 14) and for finger printing (Feb 3 at a local office).

This seems to be quite fast-paced. Does anyone who recently filed have the same experience?

Yep! And there are still tons of pending cases from the last century. This agency is quite something!

Don't get me wrong! I have nothing against people, whose cases were processed ahead of mine. It is the manner in which the INS - USCIS - La Migra processes the cases - this is what makes me really angry!

Latest RFE is nunc pro tunc asylum application. I divorced my ex, who was a principal applicant in the original case, even though it is primarily based on what happened to me. Now I'm in even deeper s&*t than before. This nunc pro tunc crap may easily take another couple of years. :( I have aready prepared copies of all required documents and get ready to mail them as soon as I obtain a waiver from a psychologist that I cannot testify about the details of the case - it's just too disturbing for me.

I'm pretty sure that my lawyer sent the application to Nebraska, but when I examined the documents, I found that all the mails, beginning from the Notice of Action, were sent from the Texas Service Center.

This makes me wonder whether all new cases are handled by TSC.

Regarding FP notice, the code level was labeled as Code 3. I came across Code 1, etc, I wonder what's the significance of having a Code 3 immediately.

I'm not reading too much into this - it could be just a flurry of activities and then everything comes to a halt. Like everyone else, I'm just trying to find some pattens or rules followed by USCIS.
