ND 2002 cases will be approved before ND 00 & 01 Cases

A friend of mine who works for USCIS in Atlanta told me that some late cases might get approved beofere the old ones.

The reason for this is- they are distributing asylee cases to different groups and officers and the speed of approval differes according to the case load of the officer or group assigned. That is the reason for this RFEs and BIOs coming out without following first come first serve . . . But according to him all of us who are eligible will have the approvals before the Presidents promise date for under 6 months processing time for any application.

Nothing new

We're sort of used to the unpredictable ways of the BCIS. You can pretty much see it based on the approvals on this forum.

Let's hope everyone gets their GC in the next few months.

Well yah that makes sense. Since they removed the cap, there is no "visa allocation" as they used to have before. So now, if an officer send a RFE and is waiting for the applicant to answer..he can work on the next case..previously since Visa was allocated for that asylee itself, he had to wait and not Move on to say next batch of cases...

So its not that they will approve 2002 cases before 2000/2001..its just if 2000/2001 cases have something pending..like a RFE(in my case) or a name check etc...theywill go to the next case in line...And you can also say that 2003 or 2004 cases may be approved before 2002 cases...

you are right man. i think i have a very common short name, maybe that`s the reason i am still waiting... but i really think they should look up my case, since the LUD was 4 months ago... :(
