ND 2/8/00 assigned to an officer today

EB2 RIR PD:4/5/99 ND:2/8/00 FP:3/24/00 No RFE.

Just called IIO. A nice guy told me my case is assigned
to an officer today.

BTW, my case has been "pending/under review" for over
1 months since the beginning of May when I first talked
with an IIO.

So the "assigned to an officer" is not the same as "pending"
or "under review".

Hi

Here is my story. ND 04 00. Talked to IIO 2 weeks ago. Told my case was pending review. Talked to IIO last week. Was told that the case has been assigned to an Officer.

Seems like the AVM message is not very reliable these days. So the only way to find out about the case would be to call IIO.

Also my EAD expires in a month. Have applied for a renewal 2 months ago. No reply or receipt on that yet.

Just a guess. Pending/review might mean the case is in a
place waiting for an officer to pick it up. Any different
opinion on this, welcome to share...
