A relative of mine with ND 11/2000 received an email today that his case is transfered to a local office for processing. The notice advises to check processing times of the local office.
I remember there were many people in here whose cases were transfered to a local office. Anyone who could share his/her experience about such cases is highly appreciated. What I would like to know is:
- What could be the reason for this transfer?
- is the applicant supposed to have an interview before the approval?
- does the local office request additional information and if yes what kind of documents.
I had promised some of the list members in here about an update of the infopass appointment. My relative had the apointment today. I translated for him, but the appointment was in a local office which is different from the one his case was transfered today. The lady we talked to started off to a very rough begining...asking that we contact the NSC to inquire about the case status. After some arguments (being polite of course) finally she agreed to check the status of his fingerprints and name check. After 10 minutes wait, she came back and told us that my relative's fingerprint and name check, both had resulted "O.K.". When we got home we found out about the transfer email. Bottom line, even infopass appointments are not that helpful after all.
Again, any sharing of experience from those whose files are transfered to a local office is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
