Guys,

About a week and a half ago I said an IIO told me my
case was assigned to an officer.
I called an IIO today and was told the case was *not*
assigned to an officer.

I had hoped to get my approval before I leave CA in mid Dec,
but looks like it won\'t happen.

I\'m going to start visiting this board infrequently from now
on. I wish you guys a happy holidays and hope you get your
approvals soon!

All the best,

Bongo

Lots of guys mentioned it before - calling IIOs is not useful

except for case like \'FP Quality check\' (that too I and, if I remember correctly, Jony Lever had problem - IIO couldn\'t tell about FP quality even many days after FP).

Moreover, we (mainly from June ND) started having high expectations - but INS is not going to give us freedom anytime soon....

Anyway, good luck to all of us.

yeah they did not tell me about FP quality
that was the only time I called IIO(never called before even for I-140)
from there , i decided not to call again since you end up dailling for half an hour or more and then wait for another
half an hour for nothing.
i totally agree with Bhagwan that calling them has not been very useful.
let us be optimistic and hope for the best

I think calling for I485 is useful but has problems

A few people mentioned they found out that their FP
quality was bad and the IIO on the spot generated a
FP re-do notice. For those people it was useful to talk
to an IIO.

However, after your FP has been done and is of good
quality then your right, the benefits of calling an IIO
seem not be worth the effort.

I think the first and last officers I had were good.
The middle one couldn\'t speak English very well and
probably didn\'t understand my question but just answered
anyway.

Hope the INS gives us our presents by early in the year.
