hello, today (November 7 , 2005) I received a letter from Nebraska scheduling my Biomterics for December 17 in my state (MA). My ND is March 2004. Is this usual or good? What happens after this? I am to be away from the USA from Xmas until May. Should I expect anything else to happen in those months? As usual: I appreciate your answers, guys!:) Have a good time in whatever you do:)

Do anything what you want to do originally, Biomterics just everybody who applied for I485 need to take. ND 07/2005, Bio1 at 07/2005, Bio2 at 07/2005, so don't be exciting too much.

I have ND May/2004, and I also received letter for biometrics, code 3. last week.
Is this just the letter for initial finger print? Never receive any RFI or RFE.

where on my letter can i see the code? i am missing it somehow:) and also: how long it usually takes before initial finger printing to the next step and what is that next step usually?
thanks!
ian

Ianyu -My ND is April/03 and I got Bio Code 3 on 10/07/05 then got G325A a week later, then a week later request for medical. So you might be seeing other letters in the mail soon.

thanks!
i noticed most people had fingerprints before code3. i just had them taken when my asylum was pending. never since.

My husband's ND is 06/2004 and he has an appointment for Dec 10 to do his Bio code 3.
USCIS says that it is only scheduling fingerprinting for cases they can adjust in 15 months. This is all part of the backlog elimination plan (see link NSC update of 10/26/05:
http://www.immigration.com/fromtheagency/nsc261005.html).
The best thing to do is wait and see what happens next. You never know.
At least people like you and my husband are already better off than the people that we see on this forum that have ND's of 2000 (or even earlier) and are still waiting for their GC.

If you read that memo it is contradicts itself..It says "The center schedules only those applications that can be processed within the 15-month validity period of the fingerprint clearance."

Which is what you read and said ok good for me..but then it says this "At present all applicants who filed their applications prior to December 31, 2002 have been scheduled for fingerprinting. Applications filed after December 31, 2002 will be scheduled within the next few months."

So it means if you submit your application tomorrow, you will get a FP notice..does it mean they will also be adjusted in 15 months??

I don't think so. The memo doesn't say that people applying tomorrow will get the GC within 15 months. They will be scheduled for FP which still leaves lot a room for the USCIS. They can even schedule people to come for FP let's say March 2006.
As for the people like my husband with late NDs (his is ND 06/2004) who have recently done or will do their FP soon, I don't know either if they will be adjusted in 15 months after FP clearance. That's why I say let's wait and see. :)
